A Wonderful time in a fabulous location
Super location on Grand Anse Beach. It's not a luxury resort and the price reflects that. The beach though is spectacular, safe, and crystal clean. We enjoyed long walks and lunch at some of the other beach restaurants. Some require reservations and proper attire, so make the appropriate inquiries before you show up. There's a grocery store across the street and a mall within walking distance, which are nice conveniences. The area outside of the resort on the street side isn't particularly walker-friendly, nor is it picturesque. So when we needed to out, we used a car we rented. The hotel has two pools - one of which is newer and particularly nice. They have a game room which the grand kids enjoyed. The grounds are maintained meticulously, and the facility is clean. We had good WIFI service and from what I heard from other guests, the hotel has been improving over time. We did a snorkeling excursion by the dive shop within the resort and it was great.
The breakfast buffet had good variety, but was a "B-" in terms of quality and ambiance. Feels like your in a big cafeteria, not a resort. Food-to-order really needs improvement, both in terms of choice, quality and timely delivery. We waited an hour and a half for dinner the first night we were there, and lunches about an hour. After a couple of failed attempts and not-so-great quality, we ended up eating elsewhere for lunch and dinner during our week+ stay. There are some really good restaurants within walking distance, and certainly within driving distance on this side of the island, so this wasn't a huge issue. Bar service was good at the large pool, but there wasn't adequate bar tending at the swim-up bar. Evening entertainment...mmmm. Hopefully, over time all of this will improve. So, again, we went elsewhere in the evenings, which was too bad for the resort because we were spending our money and having fun at other properties/venues. Another issue was that on check-in they didn't have our son's family room reservation from Booking.com. Could have been a huge issue if a room wasn't available. Not sure what the glitch was, but I saw firsthand the booking confirmation. Secondly, the booking.com website doesn't stipulate that there are only two free breakfasts per room. So, if you have kids staying in the room with you, you will be charged for their breakfast. Hopefully the hotel and booking have rectified this confusion. Despite sounding a bit negative, we'd stay here again as we feel that the hotel is an excellent value due to the beach, pool, and the fact that they made a fabulous frozen Piña Colada ;) As we hear the hotel has improved over time, we hope that they will be able to get their food service act together and it will really be a great value resort.

Amazing pool but rooms need work. There are better options at this price point these days.
Prime location on Grand Anse Beach with beautifully manicured grounds and spectacular pool that our daughter loved. Breakfast is pretty good with a nice manager albeit a bit pricey for what it is. Grocery store is right across the street and it's easy to get a taxi to airport.
I usually don't stay at hotels like Radisson unless through business, preferring more independently owned properties, but this one seemed to occupy a great spot on the beach with a great pool and for one night only it would be decent. The issue is mainly the room (first floor). It smelled SO bad - it was mix of musty and recently roach-bombed chemical smell... it was inescapable and intense. The sheets had brownish stains at the edges (I have pics). The staff were pretty disorganized as well. We asked for an extra 1.5 hour late check out twice upon arrival since we were headed to airport directly and they assured us that it was in the notes. We found ourselves locked out the next morning and they said night staff cannot schedule a late check out and we pretty grumpy in rectifying the situation. They said we should have asked again in the morning which we were directed to do prior. If you stay here, maybe spring for an upgraded room or ask to check the room together first before committing to it. For a single night we just didn't want to deal with the hassle.
